Calm Your Pain Practices
These practices include visualizations and mediations that I have learned over the years. They are intended to help calm a person’s often over-active nervous system to help decrease their pain. Consistent practice of meditation has been proven by research to help decrease peoples pain experience.
Open Focus: I learned these visualizations from the book, Open Focus and Dissolving Pain by Les Fehmi and Jim Robbins. These are simple brain exercises to help teach the brain to focus and calm on different areas to shift its habitual attention to one’s pain.
Spaciousness: These are lessons I created to help a person feel more open and lighter since often the experience of on-going pain can tighten up the muscles and the overall experience in one’s body.
Meditations: There are a variety of guided meditations for you to listen to. I refer to one set from Russell Delman who I have studied with for over 25 years. (www.RussellDelman.com)
