Calm Your Pain -- An Experiential Class for People in Chronic Pain

  • The Center for Wellbeing and Wisdom--First Prebyterian Church 230 NE Ninth St Bend, Oregon USA (map)

This 1 ½ hour class opens with a guided mindfulness practice. It is followed by an interactive conversation for understanding the brain-pain connection and monthly topics to help one live a better life while living with chronic pain. Topics include sleep, breath, mindfulness, self-compassion, gratitude and more. Class ends with a 30 minute Feldenkrais® lesson, which is a very gentle, relaxing, verbally guided mindful-movement lesson done lying on the floor to help participants learn to let go of tension habits, change their brain/pain neuroplasticity and feel better in their bodies.
